Michael Yu BSc MHKIS, MRICS, MICES, RPS was promoted to the position of Technical Director of Widnell effective 1st December 2006.
Michael joined Widnell in 1987 and since then has been involved in some of Widnell’s largest and most complex projects.

In 1991 he led the Widnell cost planning team on a full time two year assignment to develop and prepare the Airport Authority’s capital cost budgets for the HK$40 billion New International Airport at Chek Lap Kok.
From 1997 until 2006 Michael was lead Widnell QS on over HK$10 billion value of railway stations and infrastructure work on the KCRC’s extensive West Rail projects, successfully seeing the work through to settlement of several highly complex final accounts.

In his new role as Technical Director Michael will primarily be responsible for leading a Widnell team engaged on major projects and other specialist assignments in Hong Kong and Macau.
