Widnell has been appointed by Hong Kong Government Architectural Services Department to provide QS services in finalizing the accounts for the landmark Arsenal House Police Headquarters in Central.

The project is a 110,000 m2 complex consisting of a 42-storey curtain wall clad Major Formations HQ tower, a 14-storey Central District HQ block and a low-rise library and resources block.

Facilities also include a 298 seat auditorium with simultaneous interpretation facilities, a multi-purpose hall and a firing range.

The development’s air-conditioning system is equipped with sea-water cooled chillers installed in the basement to minimize noise. Electronic and communication systems include a high speed broadband fibre optic system providing a voice, image and data interchange platform video conferencing and instant messaging.

Office space is open plan to allow better communication and a sense of spaciousness.
