SHANGHAI CITIGROUP TOWER TOP- OUT (NOV 2004)
One of Shanghai’s largest commercial buildings was topped out in September 2004 and is now completed ready for occupation.
Located in Pudong Lujiazui, the financial centre of China, at the front of the New Pudong Bund, Citigroup Tower is a 42-storey 119,000m2 Grade A office tower built to the highest international standards and forms a new landmark development in Shanghai.
The building will include the headquarters for the Citigroup’s Global Corporate and Investment Banking Group and Global Consumer Group businesses for the PRC as well as many other tenants.
The building's official topping out ceremony was attended by Shanghai's Vice Mayor, Mr Feng Guoqin; Deputy Governor of Pudong New Area, Mr Kang Huijun; US Consul General, Mr Douglas Spelman, and CEO of Shanghai Bading Property Development Co. Ltd, Mr Ding Gang.
