Widnell has been appointed directly by Ocean Park Corporation to provide cost planning and financial advisory support services for the Park’s planning and feasibility work for three new hotels.

The Summit Hotel will be a 5-star exclusive spa hotel situated on Nam Long Shan in Ocean Park with panoramic views to the South China Sea. The hotel will have an indoor/outdoor infinity swimming pool, a spa centre and a clifftop restaurant to take advantage of the ocean views.

The Waterfront Hotel will be located within walking distance from the proposed HK Government Fishermans’ Wharf development and also the privately owned Aberdeen Marina Club. The hotel’s design is aligned with the hillside and the shoreline in harmony with the landscape, presenting views either to the sea and the Aberdeen Channel or to the hillside.

The Ocean Hotel will be a 655 rooms 3 to 4-star hotel located at the main entrance of the Park. The hotel will be directly linked to the Park’s main entrance and the proposed future MTR station via a 30 metre wide elevated bridge deck.

Phased construction of the hotels is due to commence in 2008 with opening of the last hotel by around 2012.
