Widnell has been appointed as Quantity Surveyors for the extensive refurbishment of the Miramar Hotel in the heart of the Tsim Sha Tsui tourist area of Hong Kong.

The project involves the refurbishment of the entire hotel, which includes hotel and commercial podium in phases while maintaining half of the hotel in operation.

Project Director, Michael Yu said “As Hong Kong’s tourist industry is approaching peak levels, Miramar Hotel must complete the renovation works in phases while the hotel is still partly in operation and within a tight construction programme. Therefore we have to ensure that the various works packages are fast tracked to tender stage and then awarded smoothly and within the shortest possible time.”

Widnell’s recent hotel experience also includes work on Ocean Park’s three proposed hotels, the Mayfair Garden Hotel at Hong Kong, the Crown Hotel in Macau and the Jin Ji Hu Grand Hotel at Suzhou.
