Widnell has been appointed by the Link Management Limited to carry out the pre-qualification exercise to formulate lists of potential contractors capable of carrying out renovation and alteration works divided into different categories according to the value of contracts for which they are normally eligible to tender.

The Link Real Estate Investment Trust ("The Link REIT") is the first REIT listed in Hong Kong. Managed by The Link Management Limited ("The Link Management"), the REIT invests in 180 retail and carpark facilities, the largest such portfolio held by a single owner in Hong Kong. With an Internal Floor Area ("IFA") of approximately one million sq.m of retail space and around 80,000 carpark spaces, the properties are on the doorstep to 40% of Hong Kong's seven-million population.

Widnell Deputy Director Anthony Lau said “The pre-qualification exercise's main objectives are to select, maintain, manage and review a list of technically and financially competent contractors and also to provide guidelines and procedures for the administration and monitoring of the performance of contractors.”
The list will be maintained and selected by The Link Management for their ambitious development plan for the next few years of renovation and alteration projects with an annual expenditure budget exceeding several hundred million dollars.
