Widnell Deputy Director Daniel Leung MRICS, MHKIS has been appointed as the
  resident manager of the practice's Beijing office with effect from June 2006.

Daniel will be responsible for all aspects of the business in Beijing and will work with Dr Ng Wing Fai on client liaison and with Julian Zhu on implementing an extended international standard of service for the practice's Beijing and international clients.

Widnell currently has a staff of 30 in Beiijng and the workload includes major projects for Huawei Technologies, Nortel Networks, Carrefour Hypermarkets, ING Pacific, AMD, Novartis Pharmaceutical, Vanke Property Development, Tienhong Property Development, Jiaduobao Drink & Food Co, Beijing Xincheng Yangguang Real Estate Development, Dizhongyuanfudi Real Estate Development and other local developers.

"Daniel has been with Widnell for nearly 10 years and has been closely involved in many of our major projects"  said SC Tse, Widnell's Director in charge of the Beijing office.  "With the Beijing office now servicing a rapidly increasing workload in the capital and elsewhere in North China we wanted to beef up our management and also to improve the quality of our technical response to the highest international standards."
