NORTEL NETWORKS BEIJNG EXPANSION (MAY 2004)
Canadian company Nortel is relocating its operations to a campus-style 47,000m2 facility within the Beijing Electronic City West Zone to allow for a major expansion programme over the next five years. Its current headquarters occupies a large corporate space in the centre of Beijing. The campus will be built in three phases. The first two will cover approximately 50,000m2 in area and have a combined value of RMB290M.
Widnell’s Beijing office has been appointed to act as Nortel’s cost and contract adviser during the move.
Widnell will work with project manager Arup and architects Integrated Design Associates on the project.
